From reading the history on the Cutlass I think it might be better to keep this one as a static display.....

Now you done it!
I have a tendency to do that..... just ask my wife.
Ditto that Chainfeed, Mr. Casby and I were introduced when I sloppily used the term "Gutlass" even tho I'm well aware of the slow spool-up of the early jets. I received and deserved a mild attitude adjustment.

Fact is, I have an early affection for the F7U. Whenever we'd enter the base or pass by on the way to the 1/4 midget track, the Cutlass on display at the east gate of NAS Dallas/Hensley always had my attention. She really looked great at night all lit up. Wished I'd seen one fly. Later I did when I built a few rubber-catapult launched balsa gliders. Quick and stable...they'd make a great foamie. I'd make the trek to see a real one fly when that day happens!
