Some nice videos on the Battle of Midway. I've seen the john Ford film but never saw film of all the men of VT-8 in close up shots. Here it is at 9:05 in the video. Its very emotional watching. All those guys look like swell men and the type of men you wish were your brother. They would all be dead in a day or two.

The portion dealing with the officers and men of VT-8 was taken from the memorial film that John Ford made and gave to the families (I don't believe it was ever officially released to the public):
