Will a Mighty Martin AM ever fly again?

Brad. I agree. There were no problems with the R-4360 on the Mauler. My dad worked on them at the Martin factory during WWII.

Also, I've flown all over the world in aircraft powered by R-4360's. Had very little issues, none I couldn't handle with the tools I carried along in my tool box, and they always got me home!

Do any of you have any pics of the civilian flying Mauler? Or any pics at all of it during the CAF period in its history which has been discussed? I never saw it back then and was just curious what I would have seen if I had been around.

The only pictures I had of it before it was torn up were on a roll of 110 film that was accidentally exposed. It's too bad because it had pictures of one of only three or four flights made by Gerald Martin before another guy tore it up on his first flight.

I'm in Maryland for the weekend and had a little time to kill today unexpectedly. I drove quickly out to the Martin Museum and got there about 40 minutes before they closed. On the way out, I looked out across from the parking lot and saw some fuselages off in the distance. I found the road to get closer to them and discovered I was looking at Maulers.

Looks like two projects there. Maybe they'll keep one for static and sell the other to a shop.

I realize this is a 2 year old thread, but 'george' can you elaborate an what rumors you have heard about a survivor in Brasil? I havent heard this and wanted to see if anybody can add anything to substantiate?
