Mosquito status?

I have lost track, how many Mosquiots are airworthy now? The one in Virginia and one in Canada? How many are being restored to fly? Where are all the remainder on display worldwide?

Whether it is all true and accurate or not, there have been reports that the Mosquito under restoration for the Flying Heritage Collection at Avspecs (TV959) will be likely completed/flying this year. The next Mosquito in-line at Avspecs (#3) is said to be under construction/restoration for Rod Lewis (PZ474). The Biggin Hill Heritage Hangar in England has also commissioned Avspecs to complete a flying Mosquito for them (possibly DZ542?). And that's not all. Avspecs has said that their workshop will be looking like the de Havilland Mosquito factory this year.

The Canadian Historical Aircraft Association's Mosquito restoration is also proceeding as an airworthy aircraft (though whether it will fly or not will depend on funding): http://www.warbirdinformationexchange.o ... 9&start=30

At this time, Jerry Yagen's Mosquito in Virginia Beach, Virginia and Bob Jens' Mosquito in Victoria, British Columbia are the only two airworthy examples in the world.

There's also Glyn Powell's own T.III, NZ2308, which was for sale for a time. That was being restored to airworthy at his facility. And there's RL249, the NF.36 being crowdfunded-restored to FB.VI configuration by The People's Mosquito, although if it progresses I imagine it will be a much longer-term prospect than any of the others mentioned.

The Biggin Hill folk are still yet to reveal more about the project they're involved with, but based on a little research and as John said B.IV DZ542 certainly looks promising as the ID....and, if it's not theirs, it seems to be in the works for someone! I PM'd the BHHH team on Facebook a month or so after the announcement but with no reply as yet. I saw the FHC Mossie at AvSpecs yesterday. It looks outstanding. I was told painting mid-year and hopefully flying around year end.

De Havilland Mosquito N9871F is currently and officially registered in the USA. Hopefully, it too may eventually be restored.

I didn't see any mention of Kermit Weeks Mosquito. He flew it to Oshkosh, and it never left. Its been in the museum since it arrived, so would it not fall under "potentially" airworthy? Its my understanding that there is nothing wrong with it, just way out of annual.
