Warbirds Over Windsor 2015

Mon Aug 17, 2015 8:59 pm

The Canadian Historical Aircraft Association in Windsor, ON will be hosting the Canadian Warplane Heritage Avro Lancaster and B-25 Mitchell on the evening of August 30 and through the day August 31. We will be holding an open house event at our historic hangar to coincide with the visit from 10am to 3pm on the 31st.

Guests will be able to tour our No.7 EFTS WW2 Hangar, where we are currently restoring Avro Lancaster FM212 (sister ship to CWH's FM213) and deHavilland Mosquito KB161.

Along with the visiting aircraft from CWH we will have our two deHavilland Chipmunks, Boeing Stearman, NA Harvard, CT-133 Silver Star, and Fleet Fawn on display. There may be some other visiting aircraft as well.

Rides will be available on all of our airworthy aircraft as well as CWH's Lancaster and B-25, at a cost.

Admission to the event will be $5. All money raised from admission will be going to support the local 364 Lancaster Squadron Air Cadets.

For those attending Thunder Over Michigan that weekend this is the perfect event if you're still in the area to get up close and personal or even purchase rides on any of these aircraft at a smaller scale event.
