Here is the start of some more never before seen cold war aircraft photos and slides. I have collected 300+ photos and slide, the amount of time to scan them is unimaginable.
The Cold War is of great interest to me because there were such a variety of aircraft, with a variety of paint and markings. Back then people just liked planes more then they do now. The odd and interesting, the cool and fast are all important to me. Sometimes I enjoy the lesser aircraft more. We need to bring some light to all of them. I hope this thread will continue to interest others.
I have searched high and low for Day glo R4Q's and they are very hard to find. I found some!

I have had this photo for years and only recently noticed that these F-80's are actually a really rare photo of RF-80A's of the 157th FS. These replaced the RF-51D's the squadron had been flying. The squadron originated from the 350th FS and were first part of the SCANG. Such a rare photo of some very rare aircraft!
So I am pretty partial to the HUP. Here is a HUP-2 Retriever really late in it's career aboard the USS. Saratoga:
