I was wondering if any one has an idea as to what current P-51 Mustang, and it has to be currently flying even if just once a year might meet the following critera?
First most original from the fuselage and wings etc. to say engine as well?
2nd perhaps running in conjuction with this question Lowest Time Mustang in Total Hours that is currently flying at least once in a great while?
Frankly I really don't know so I thought I would throw this out there to see what some of you folks might say in regards to these questions. Thanks in advance.
3rd I just thought of one more question genuine documented combat veteran that would meet qustions 1 and 2 from above?

As far as I know, it's "Jumpin' Jacques" from the Hangar 11 Collection in the UK.

HERE

She's a former Red Tail combat vet with battle damage repairs and has never had a major restoration. Beautiful aircraft and has the perfect patina. Have seen her up (very) close. The only thing not original is that the gunsight has been removed. The owner keeps it boxed up as he'd rather not impale his head on it during a forced landing.

She has around 2100 hours. No idea whether that's low or high.

Vid HERE

If you really want originality, the owners Spitfire XI has its original engine. Unique as far as I know.

It might be Gerry McCann's old P-51, sold recently to South Africa as I understand. It was a real 325th FG Checkertail bird. As a civilian it was always painted black.

Slightly off topic, but as far as I know the VWC Spitfire MkXVI still has the original engine as well as original wings!! only one still flying with original wings.

P-51D Sierra Sue II, which just completed its 5 year restoration, was a documented combat veteran with one kill of an Me-109. The restoration reused 70% of the original parts and it probably has less than 20 hours on it so far.

Hi rtwpsom2,

One thing from your post I would like to clear up. Sierra Sue II didn't have a documented kill. Lt. Robert Bohna, her WWII pilot, had one kill of an FW-190 on December 17, 1944 during the Battle of the Bulge. It was in a P-38 though.
