There are a few private F-5s flying. maybe that could be done. I would like to see that privately owned Mig 29 come. I am still hoping for a Cold War theme.

Speaking of Hinton - there were 3 Tigercats at Sun N Fun. Unfortunately they only flew 1 of the days during the event, and it was the day I wasn't there. Would be nice to get them at Thunder too

I am looking forward to this show!! here are some very interesting and uncommon types scheduled. After six years of attending, this show never ceases to impress.

I agree Boeing 666. I'd be happy if just one F7F showed up. There's one at Oshkosh almost every year, you'd think they could hop over. I'd love to see a F6F there also.

Confirmation was received this morning to the effect, that a C-160D Transall from the German Air Force will be on static display at this year's show! This is a first for Thunder and the State of Michigan!!

Cheers,

Tom Walsh.

The C-160 is a good looking transport aircraft that has been around for about 50 years. The Germans have flown one out of Washington Dulles Airport in Northern Virginia for years. Maybe this is the one that will fly to Michigan. Hope we get to see it come in on Friday's Taxiway Photography/Arrival Day.

Really looking forward to attending this year. Regardless if more aircraft are added or not, I think the staff really did an excellent job with the lineup this year.

Air Transport Wing (ATW) 61, from Penzing Air Base at Landsberg - Lech, Germany, is supplying the C-160D for static display.

Cheers,

Tom Walsh.

That Privateer should be bumped to the top of the list alongside the other heavy bombers. Higher exposure for the audience to see.

The hot ramp for this year's Thunder over Michigan show has been moved from the south end to the north end of the field. For 2014, it will be located behind the Photo Pit tent! The static display will now start at the south end of the ramp and run to the north. Car parking for Friday's Taxiway Photography (FTP), Saturday and Sunday's Photo Tour/Photo Pit (PT/PP) has been moved from the north to the south end. These changes were necessary due to ongoing construction and operational considerations at the airport.

It is extremely important for all of our prepaid FTP and PT/PP customers to read and follow this year's instructions and map references which will be sent out by email just before the show.

There are still a few of these choice slots remaining, so act quickly before they are gone. Our tent is the last one in the line, and is used by the pilots as a reference turning point. The topside and bottomside photo opportunities of the aircraft are just the best at this location!!

For additional information on how to register, go to yankeeairmuseum/airshow and follow the cues.

Cheers,

Tom Walsh.

Tom,

Are there going to be any changes to the layout for general admission spectators from last year?

Rob W,

I do not believe there are any other changes to the shows layout.

Cheers,

Tom Walsh.
