Can the wikipedia entries be right regarding these two?

It lists the Ranger L-440, C-2 (the 175 hp model) at 376 lbs. The W-670 at 992 lbs.

Seems unlikely.

It's closer to 400 pounds, depending on the version and installation.

That weight is probably for the tank engine with the fan and mount.
