These are awsome! What is the Flying Spitfire population as of January 2014?

My Argus III should take to the sky this summer in its RAF colors. it flew with the ATA as HB-690 in 44-45

I like the angle of levier's photo. Not sure about using that particular Mark Spitfire, although it is very attractive. Whichever image is picked, I hope it would show the elegant wing shape preferably from above, not below. Side views don't show the wing well enough.

Just my opinion.

PeterA gets my vote. I think since the registry is a recording type service I think all header photos should incorporate a mass aircraft photo. It only seems natural since IT IS a registry. my $02

I concur. That's why i voted for the massed B-17 pic, even tho' I had a personal connection to another.
