For a 150,000 that sure looks like an amazing warbird to fly. That guy looks like he's having a great time with that a-26! I want one!

I'll bet the Beech 18 and Shrike Commander flight manuals say not to do aerobatics in them, too...

Wow. So 50 gallons for just one engine and av. Gas is what 6 bucks a gallon? 600 for a 1 hour flight. Can the r2800 be altered to burn less fuel?

Yup, but then you have a R1340!
They seriously need to be run a certain way. They don't do well if you alter things.

Well, I guess we're going to have to be partners now!

We used to flight plan for 200 gal an hour (both engines combined), knowing we could lean it out to about 160-180 gal/hr in cruise. The Invader is an awesome airplane, more than one Mustang pilot has watched an Invader pull away from him.

Great machine.

Anyone know what prop blades are fitted and are they the same on any other aircraft?

It still blows my mind that these birds are out there for cheaper than a house, yet sit on the market. Or even worse, in the elements sitting deralect at an airport. What else would be compared in price? T-6 and a t-28?
