Just curious, what would be considered the minimum safe runway length to operate a T-33 out of an airport???

The one we had here was operated out of 5256' quite easily.

Depends on density altitude, temperature and fuel load. These determine no wind take off and landing distances for a given airplane. A T-33 with full fuel will still be on the ground at 5000' on a hot day in Denver.

I've heard that someone at the local airport may be looking for one. Our runway is 5,000 feet.

Of course ours was a Canadair built example with the RR Nene.

I understand that makes quite a difference. Bigger brakes on the Canadair models too, IIRC.

Suggestion: Send a PM to WIXer "t33driver". He owns one.
