Rob,
would love to see the mods sheets. What other logs do you have in regards to PV-2's? Hate to put you to any extra work, but could you send me a listing of the different Poons you have books on?

Hercat....the down struts were stripped from the airframe. Looked for the up-locks and they were gone as well.

Many thanks to Gary (again) for going to such trouble to find out this Harpoon's identity, and to Taigh and Pooner for their highly informative follow-up posts. If I had to give marks to WIX threads, this one would easily score an A+.
And now that I've managed to see the photos (I always have to google 'gmhilton + photobucket', as the direct links won't take me there), I realise I don't have to ask for the Springfield, MO scrapyard address. What is left of 37502 / 15-1468 seems to be below even my standards as to what is worth photographing :-)

XL446...once all the pop riveted aluminum sheets were removed of what was left of the airframe, there was just a bunch of yellow paint.....We used a concrete cut off saw to reduce the remains down to manageable pieces where 2 people could load by hand....we only used 2 blades..if that gives you any idea of how jacked this bird was.

Does anyone know the ID of the machine (Lodestar) currently on display?

Gary
