There is a restoration shop in Mass that restores armor. I believe they were restoring one for a customer, it was probably that one.

$400K for a Hellcat? Wow have prices shot up. Probably a better investment than gold.

Ive been in the MV hobby since 96 and I have watched both trucks and parts prices climb since I started. It is sad to say but right now, buying parts and trucks is better than dumping it into a retirement account.

With so few of them in running condition (less than 6 the last time I counted) they have been demanding prices almost as high as Shermans. I have driven several Shermans and 1 Hellcat, and would much rather own a hellcat if I was going to be driving or hauling it anywhere. Is a lot lighter, and a lot more driver friendly. A lot of people do not know what a Hellcat is, but the majority of those people also can not identify a Sherman (although they have heard of them).

The Sherman that Andy and the guys at NEMVS were working on the last time I was there belongs to the museum in NH, so it would not have been going through CT unless it was sold (not for sale the last I knew).

Maybe the Sherman in question belongs to the Military Museum of Southern NE in Danbury? I do not know if they take their equipment out to events, but it would not be too far away from home if it was theirs.

FHC's restored Sherman tank came into Tacoma, WA aboard a ship and is in customs right now. It will go on display as soon as the new hangar is finished, they are putting the roof on now and the doors are supposed to be here this week. You can see FHC's new tank on thier facebook page.

Chris, I don't think they have a Sherman, but you never know if the bought one recently. They have an M-18 Hellcat though.

That looks like a nice new set of tracks. I wonder where they rounded those up. Now they just need to put some sort of markings on it so that it does not look so plain.
