Beautiful !!!! ... any pics of the painting job ? :D

Yes, lots and there is a good story too and I will post it soon. We all are still recovering so give me a little time to put it all together.

If any of you want to crawl up inside just come by the NAHI ramp at Reno and ask. If I am not around just ask for Larry or my wife Kelley and mention WIX and they will let you in. They will let pretty much any enthusiast inside and especially vets. Had a 92 year old Lockheed engineer come by today. Good stuff

Taigh and the rest of your team... well done! :supz: That is the kind of work only professionals can do... whether paid or volunteer. Very high quality and attention to detail to make it right. We applaud your efforts and congratulations on getting the ol gal back where she belongs! From the Special Kay restoration team, yall have our greatest appreciation of your accomplishment. We hope to do as well, but yall have certainly set the bar high!! Our best... Jim R Ft Worth.

Jim,

Thanks so much for your kind words. We all appreciate the support the positive feedback from everyone on here on WIX.

I have been in love with your K model since Mr. Lynch showed it to me many years ago. What a special bird that you all have and Special K is the perfect name. Talk about a time capsule that is as authentic as any warbird can be. I am very happy that she ended up in the hands of a group of go getters that have the passion and appreication to give her the care she needs. Well done and i look forward to reading your great posts.

Trade rides some day? The A-26 has to be the sexiest aircraft around...next to our slightly pregnant Harpoon that is...

On a side note, sorry for being slow to post updates on the paint job. My laptop has decided not to power up and most of my posts are done at home in the evenings on that machine as I can't take the time at work due to all of the other crazy stuff going on. Please be patient and I will get you all up to speed as soon as possible.
