O.K FIRST of all, this is NOT a nock at any present or past Warbird restorer/owner(except the guy who cut up the Razor back Mustang way back when!) I always think of the time of the present Warbird Movement that really picked up in the "60s,"70s,&"80s. It's great that some are still in their early Warpaint: P-51s; "Man o' War",Vlado's "Moonbeam McSween", Kermit Weeks "Cripes A Mighty", The C.A.F's B-29 "FiFi" and I'm SURE alot of others I've missed. I JUST think that it (HERE GOES!!) would be "cool" if some day we could see some come back, like P-51 "ShangriLa" that of course is now "Princess Elizabeth", I just ALWAYS thought it OWNED the Shang. Paint job when P.Regina first restored it that way! What a BLAST it was to see it in Air Classics! Maybe when P.Liz is due for a repaint, we'll see that!? How'bout some day seeing Frank Sanders ex Sea Fury 232 back in '70's "stock" shape/paint! Now for something Complet. Crazy: what if the C.A.F repainted or traded their P-40N for a "E" (closer to Tex Hill's) so that it could be repainted RED as Mike Dillons "Historic Early Founders" of todays Restored Warbirds! Way to Cool! AGAIN, I'm SORRY in advance for any hard/hurt feelings, AND WE ALL KNOW it's up to the OWNERS and $$. Oh well, I can always deam! :drink3:

Not too sure what you mean about Kermit's machine, this is its old civil scheme: http://www.edcoatescollection.com/ac2/NZCM/ZK-CCG.html

Thanks for the great pic. K5054NZ, I was saying that when John Schafhausen got her in the U.S in the mid '70s he had her painted as "Cripes A Mighy 3rd" ( in a darker blue than now) first and she has "owned" it ever since, much like I would like to see "Shangra-La" do again. :D
