Anyone remember this one? I couldn't find the crash in the FAA database.

Thanks. Sorry to hear there was a fatality involved.

The damage to the aircraft doesn't appear to be that extensive. Has anyone seen the wreckage?

There appears to be significant damage to the engine mount and firewall. One wing appears destroyed and the accident report indicates that the fire department cut out the side of the cockpit to remove the pilot so I assume that is why you don't see a photo of the RH side of the airplane.

It's mine

Yes the tubluar needs work or replacement.

Fire dept cut the skin on the right side and pulled Dill thru the hole, they made a mess of the skin and electrical panel.

Anyone interested needs to inspect it before they bid.

Left wing needs leading edge, main spar is ok
Right wing needs small skin near gun port repaired.

sells it sells,it don't we keep moving forward.

Just a suggestion - it'd certainly sell better with some detailed information and better photos. As an eBay user and seller, last time I checked, data load is pretty cheap, all things considered. What isn't said in text is observed in artwork.

Got it that one needs to inspect prior to making a bid to fully assess, but a little bit more information in advace separates wheat from chaff.

Might want to consider that.

If someone knows the pilots name, please email me so I can tell my members if one of the NATA members has gone West.

Crash was in November of 2010 so I don't think this fatality is still news. See the NTSB link above.

It was Reese Dill. He had flown with Jim in the Six of Diamonds.

Hmmm,
Surprised to see it all the way out in San Diego.

Reese used to come in to our building for lunch about once a week maybe 8-10 years ago.
We got to chat every couple of months.
