There were a couple of Spirit replicas being constructed a few years ago and those projects came to a screeching halt. One was at Old Rheinbeck. The other was an exact duplicate of the original that was being worked by Dawn Patrol but that effort collapsed amid some sort of legal thing. The details were amazing (even the seat). Does anyone have and updates or info on these efforts?

The latest news from CF Gray at aeroforum.org:

Word has just been received that, apparently, agreement has been reached between Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome and Ken Cassens to complete the super-detailed Spirit of St. Louis which has been sitting, unfinished, for years.

Congratulations due to the Aerodrome Board, Ken C., and most especially Tom Polapink.
