There are a couple of unique airplanes in that group. The only two seat A-10, the YA-10B is held for the museum and one of the two YA-7F Strike Fighters built.

The A-26 was there the one time I visited that part of the base (1996), but I do not remember anything about it.

I was a flight test engineer at Edwards from 2000 to 2004. I use to visit South Base all the time. It is not too far from the X-1 pit for loading. Anyway, I have a few poor quality photos of the planes. The C-141 had a F-22 nose on it. I believe the F-111 had the MAW (Mission Adaptable Wing) on it. I could be wrong and the A-26 I thought was a CalAir Air Sprayer. Again I could be wrong and I know there are others that know more. All planes belong to the Flight Test Museum. The A-10 has already been moved to the other side of the base and is with the other aircraft. I am not too sure what happened to the other aircraft.

The PA-48 is up the hill a bit and in a large holding area with all kind of aircraft and artifacts. It was on our radar to restore when 911 hit and things shifted away from the museum.
