Hamilton Airshow update - We are pleased to announce that Mikey McBryan of Buffalo Airways/Ice Pilots fame will be making a special guest appearance at the 2012 Hamilton Airshow.

Lovable, hilarious and obsessed with AC/DC, Mikey McBryan is "Buffalo" Joe's youngest son, and the future of Buffalo Airways. He was raised in the hangar, but Mikey never aspired to be a pilot like his dad. Instead, he earned a degree in business and is now being groomed to take over the reins at Buffalo, though Mikey jokes that this only means "getting in more trouble, more often" with Joe. With the moral support of his orange office cat, he navigates the company through financial turbulence, in-flight emergencies, and one of Buffalo Airways' most epic and harrowing journeys ever - all under the watchful eye of his dad.

You never know where Mikey will show up during the Airshow weekend but we're pretty sure at some point he will be in the Museum's retail tent helping to peddle the Buffalo Airwear line of clothing and goodies.

Hi folks, just a bump, and if you haven't checked in on the thread in the 'WIX meeting and airshows' forum, please do so! Those keen to come to the Sat Eve gathering, doubly please do so, because we need to get a rough headcount...

If you're not sure, and are thinking of coming to the dinner, jump on in - I've been to several forum and WIX meets in NZ, Canada and the US, and they've always been a blast. Again - Checkin in the meets thread in the 'gatherings' forum.

Regards,

Sorry I didn't post it above, linky thingo here: viewtopic.php?f=13&t=45604

Mike the H has picked up the ball, and said there:
Quote:
One of the places Steve Tournay suggested was the Whistling Walrus British Pub. Here is what you need for your GPS...
1508 Upper James Street Hamilton, ON L9B 1K3
43 12 23.29 N 79 53 30.21 W

This is probably just as good as the next place. It looks nice on street view. Catherine and I are staying in Toronto, so we will likely be going directly there after the show. So how about 6 PM for the gathering?

Thanks Mike, Steve, and see you there!

James

PS nice day to go Buzz TO, btw... ;)

Beautiful aircraft and photos. Glad the Lanc's wingtips got fixed; I see the unpainted bit there. Time for a change of avatar James!

Sitting at work, waiting for the call that says that the VWC Lysander is ready to go, it's my ride to Hamilton.

Hope to see you tomorrow, Terry (and the Lysander ;) )

Thanks for the pics, Eric, pretty top day yesterday. Great to see you, too, yesterday, and the lovely lady too. Looking forward to saying G'Day to a few more faces behind the handles tomorrow, too.

Chuck who? :axe:

August - too right, mate.

Funny to see a formation with the Lanc, where it isn't the rarest bird in the group.
