Collings B-24 seen a couple of times today flying down Sunset Blvd towards the beach. Sounds good when going right over the house at 1000 feet or so.

It pays to have a well trained ear-heard, identified, and then saw an RC-3 SEABEE in the hazy sunshine

A Cessna 195 cruised over my house about 4:30 this afternoon, while I was watching the final episode of Season 2 of Ice Pilots NWT on the DVD player. Don'tcha just love the sound of a radial engine? :D Whoever invented the "Pause" feature on video players is my hero.

A red & white CAP-10 heading north out of Felts Field.

I can't say I've seen it around here.

Heard the sound of a helicopter approaching BMS and looked out my office window to see a MH-53 flying East over the Speedway. Managed to get one decent shot of her as she passed by.

Typical Sunday in Bluff City, TN today.
The WellmontOne Air Transport (Messerschmitt-bolkow-blohm BK 117 A-4) flew over my house on its way back home at the Bristol Motor Speedway helipad.
A couple of 747s passed overhead in the late evening sunlight. One left a contrail, the second did not.

Anybody know of any big props that would have been over western North Carolina today? I just heard something that sounded big fly over but didn't see it because trees were in the way. It was very loud, definitely multi-engine, radial, and heading southeast. Any ideas?

Must have been one of them, unless Memphis Belle or Chuckie were in the area. Don't think it was anything twin-engine, it was making too much noise. Thanks!
