So, what's the story behind it's very long nap?
Don't know the answer to that question, have not had time to fully research it's history yet. I have a pretty good handle on where my O-58A project has been it last flew Oct of 1954 and was put in storage with only 1100 hrs Total Time, but don't have a good history on the "C" yet. The C appears to have been stored within a few years after release from the Army as it still has the pyralin installed. I was going to restore the A first as it is very low time highly documented and only four are still listed on the FAA registry with none flying.
The A model has complete logs back to date purchased from Army but not so on the C. Here is the first page of the first logbook on the A model and bill of sale..
