Here is an interesting question of the week. What is your best guess as to where you are in this picture in the A26? And NO, Lady Duck Driver, that chain is not the pull for the toidey!

OK.. have at it... Put a red dot on the You Are Here map. Cheers, JR

Wow, Randy... so very, very close. You are correct about it being the gear pin for a main gear. The chain is tied to a red, "remove before flight" flag. You know the kind like you get your girlfriend as a red nightshirt with "remove before flight" on it. I wonder if the Duck Drivin Lady has one of those? Ah, but I digress. Back to the question. Which side main gear is this? Left or Right?? If anybody has been paying attention as to which gear we pulled and have not re-installed yet, the answer is obvious because this picture was taken last Saturday. So think about it and/or do a little detective work from the previous posts!!!

One more try!!!! Who will be first to answer??? JR
Tue Mar 20, 2012 9:13 pm
Ding ding ding.. time is up. The answer is the right main gear looking inboard at the upper gear leg. We pulled the left main, remember? Got some new pieces back from fabrication, but we still have to get the brake assembly, the outer cylinder and now the gear leg back from overhaul or plating before we can reassemble that puppy. Gosh, this is like being an expectant father... wait wait wait.. while the playground is closed. Isn't this thing ever going to fly, I ask the real JR. He just grins and says when it is done right, it will fly!!! I just go to my corner and whimper cause the Duck Lady gets to fly. Everybody else I know gets to fly!! No grand airshows to go to yet. WAaaaaaa OK.. pity party is over now. Back to work.

Yall have a good night. The other JR

I bet if you ask really nicely, the "Duck Lady" will let you tag along as ballast. She does need some occasionally. And yes, I'm going to use quotes because I prefer to call her Karen or "the nice Black Plane Pilot". I fear what she might do with that black plane should I get on her bad side.

Go ahead and give the Pony to Black twice motored airplane Lady. I will send her my Pony saddle, reins, and chaps ( after I have cut them down to extra short length)

OK, if it is good with you, we will award her the pony, but it is a Shetland. How did you know? I mean you mentioned shortening everything. That was supposed to be a secret. I trained him to bite, well, gently nibble on girl's backsides. Do you think she will mind?? I would be so disappointed if she didn't like him. Wouldn't want to see him given away again. He is such a sweetheart. Reminds you of a big playful dog.... kinda like the A26. Quick acceleration ... and he has a passing gear!

Well?? uh, when were you going to pick up your new pony that OGBF so gratiously offered to give you his saddle and tack etc for?? Brownsville?? Can you get there from here in the Duck? I mean with the pony in the back? Honestly, he is just a big dog when it comes to travel. Likes to stick his head out in the breeze if you will open a window. What no window? OH, you can install one before you go. Really!! JR
