I agree with Tom - he was a totally different type of guy than most actors today. He donated all of his film work and original copies of scripts etc (if I remember right) to Brigham Young University here in Utah.

I love that clip from Johnny Carson, especially when Dean Martin starts flicking his ashes in Foster's drink. It is amazing to watch that clip today where Carson, Martin, and Brooks are huffing away on cigarettes!
