New Sabre jet to fly in Australia

Fri Jan 27, 2012 4:32 am

A friend passed onto me news today that says there is a CAC Sabre jet soon to fly in Australia.

This will bring hopefully if it goes ahead, 2 rare CAC Sabre jets flying....something that has been seen since the early 1970s.

Will share more information as it comes to hand.

The Sabre belongs to Geoff Trappet an ex RAAF pilot and already the owner of an airworthy CAC Mustang. I believe the aircraft had its first engine runs in the past week or two.

It would be nice to see it in formation with the RAAF Museums Sabre.
