Puerto Rico PBY - Where is it?

Fri Dec 16, 2011 10:31 pm

I have a member of my crew on the ground, down on the Island and he would like to try and get some photos of it. I saw it mentioned on here a few weeks back. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

If you are talking about N7238Z, it was at San Juan International. However, I was under the impression that it had gone. Confirmation anyone?

An article in a recent edition of the American magazine Air Classics by R M Petersson indicated that it had been moved to an open-air site on San Juan International Airport and appeared to be in poor condition. It had previously been hangared there for a while and I think it was on e-Bay at some point. I too would be interested to know its current status but I fear it may be destined for scrap or parting out.
