Better hope the Blue Blazer crowd doesn't see that dual registered Sea Fury. They really get their thong in a knot over that, seems they require U.S. registration until the aircraft has completely departed U.S. air space, like the landing you'd make AFTER departing Hawaii and the next (new) one remain covered up, it's amazing just how well regular old sign painters tape stays put @ 600 MPH.

Well, maybe these planes weren't flying when we took the picture, but the plane we were in was...

Cool!!!!

What a site!

Certainly hoped they are booked for rides!

Can not wait for my brother(s) to see and hear them over the skies of San Antonio.

Best,

S.

Today I was able to catch the FHC B-25J Mitchell "Buster" go out for a quick flight! Crummy weather, though, they barely made it back VFR! It was frickity cold, too! But, nonetheless, I still got it all on video, strong wind, rain, and all! Oh, and in the meantime got to see a British Airways Global Freighter 747-8F depart.

About 11:30 this morning I saw the Thunderbird painted T-38 flying circles over Decatur, Texas. It flew around for about an hour and then left off headed east, presumably back to Alliance Field. It was nice to hear someone banging burners for a while.

Oh, I didn't even think about that. Usually they have F-18s or F-16s from JRB Carswell do the flyby-probably for the big race tomorrow.

Thanks for the information!

Somewhere over south carolina ATC gave me a traffic report of a mid air refuel below me in Progress. Saw a KC with one F16 (?) on the boom and five others around her two thousand feet below me. Nice!

I just got back to the office after my lunch break. I heard big, loud, nearby rotors as I got out of the car, and I pretty much knew right away who it probably was. Sikorsky S-58T N4XY of 5-State Helicopters was lifting a/c units onto the roof of a new Walmart that's going up across the highway from our campus, perhaps 150 yards away. Of course I had to walk over to the fence and watch for a few minutes. . . 8)

Good, cheap entertainment! :D

A nasty, cold, windy, rainy Saturday, 40f and 1500 solid o/c and I just got a neat 180 whip around the house @ about 1000 ft. from an FA-18 scud running out of Ault @ Whidbey Is. and right after it a Seahawk going South to North, too foggy to see if it was the SAR bird from Ault or not

A race track pattern with R4D from Lancaster leading the way for the two other DC-3's from Miday along with the 2 T-28's also from Midway, the CAF's B-24 and what looked like Pacific Prowler, A C-47 and a yellow T-34 from Ft. Worth. The T-33 from Midway took to the air as well all for a Veterans Day event here in Waxahachie, Texas....
