This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

I heard this a.m. that the aircraft is still sitting at Canadian Warplane Heritage in Hamilton Ontario Canada.
Don't have confirmation on this yet

Latest post on FB says:
Well, the C-47 will be on display for a few months in Oshkosh before moving on to Florida, but we'll keep you updated right here whenever we have dates/plans.
Sounds like it will be parked for a while...

According to FoF's Facebook page
"The original plan of going from Goose Bay to Hamilton got reshaped by weather. So from Goose Bay we wound up in Mont-Joli, then to Ottawa - now hopefully on to Green Bay and Oshkosh next."

They departed Ottawa (CYOW) this morning bound for Oshkosh via Green Bay for customs. Got to meet Kermit. He's a really nice gent! Gave me a tour of the aircraft and took the time to pose for photos.
Kermit and I

Has anyone yet had the heart to break it to him that Oshkosh finished last Sunday? Or is he planning on being the first arrival for next year's Airventure?

At least he'll get a prime parking spot for 2012. It landed at Oshkosh earlier today.

I am kinda curious how the "It landed at CWH" got started.

I think they may have planned to go there, but changed their mind owing to weather?
