They had to have an RV follow them in because the poorly grounded ignition was wiping out their COM.

Does anyone have the details on this T-bird? Looking for the registration and/or construction number.

I saw the 190 come in with the Spit and P-40 but they were too far away for pics. The 190 will be staying in Oshkosh for a while and be displayed in the museum.

Doug Matthews from Florida owns and flys the "Fly Navy" T-33. He is a former Navy pilot. The T-33 was painted in USAF markings until this year when Doug had it repainted in colors to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Naval Aviation. I saw it fly at the TICO warbird show in Titusville, FL in March. It looks like there is red added to the the nose that was not there when I saw it in March. I like the added red. It was supposed to be at Thunder Over Michigan, but apparently got delayed or skipped it and went directly to Oshkosh.

Well there is part of a Tigercat wing in there somewhere.

Everyone knows that if he were a true wixer he'd have written down the serial # of the carbs

Great shots Petter. Love the tri-color blue F-18 and the all-jet Legacy Flight. And I didn't know the 787 has been there. Having those big honking military trucks across the runway really clutter up runway shots.

GREAT shots of the 4-ship Navy Legacy Flights - something very rarely seen at any air show! The FJ-4B Fury,A-4 Skyhawk, /T-2 Buckeye, F/A-18 Hornet is my FAVORITE.

The F-86F Sabre with 3 L-39's is nice also, although I am NOT an L-39 fan.

Can you tell us what day or days that the 4-ship Legacy Flights flew? Overall from everything I have read on several forums, this was a disappointing year at Oshkosh from a Flying Warbird standpoint. The Bob Hoover 4-ship Flight (F-86/P-51/Sabreliner/Shrike Commander) on Tuesday and these 4-ship Legacy Flights are among the few photos I have seen of real warbird highlights this year. I know that weather was one of the factors.

I was at EAA AirVenture for the first time in 2010, was not there this year and hope to return either next year or the year after. One thing is apparent to me about Oshkosh....if you want to see a lot of airplanes in the air and especially warbirds, you have to attend at least 5 days - Monday through Friday primarily - and keep your eyes on the sky morning and afternoon.
