The Thud in Arkansas is now up...

Sun Jul 24, 2011 2:38 am

A couple of days ago, I drove again by the Jacksonville Military Museum [Jacksonville, AR] and found that the F-105 that was in such a sad shape a couple of years ago, is now sporting a new paint scheme, is mounted atop a pedestal, and looks so much better.
I was told that a C-130 would be displayed in front of the museum, but it is not there yet.
The TA-4J is an old acquaintance for many WIXers, and it is on Tower Road, at the Cape Girardeau, MO airport, easily visible when you are driving on I-55.

Thanks for the report Tulio. I love to see the current Picts of the surviving Thuds.

Great shots as always Tulio. Thanks for sharing them. Glad to see the Thud has gotten some TLC now despite being placed up a pole...

Thank you, guys.

I also saw the A-7 in Pocahontas, AR, but it was too darned hot to stop and shoot pictures.
For that same reason, I did not stop to look at the F-84 in Festus, MO.

Saludos,
