A friend was asking me about the planes lost by the 305th on the October 14,1943 mission to Schweinfurt,Germany. I've been batting .000 on finding a serial number list for the planes, can anyone help?

I've got a large number of MACRs from that raid, lemme give them a look tonight and I'll post back with what I find.

Cheers,

I was wondering when and if you might show up on WIX. I've been a fan of your Flickr account for awhile now. Welcome aboard.

Glad to help, y'all. :) I suggest we all take up donations and enlist the webmaster of the 388th BG site to give the same treatment to ALL other bomb groups... if you guys haven't explored his database, you will be floored. It's the absolute best example of an online relational database I've ever had the pleasure of using.

Cheers all!

The 388th site is an well done one. The 492nd Bomb Group site is one of my favorites.

I'll give that a look- I've been focusing on B-17s for a few years now and haven't really gotten into the Liberator units, but if you recommend it, it must be good. :) Thanks for the link!

The 492nd site is very good and important for doing research on 8th AF Liberators because quite a few were assigned to the group and ended up being transfered to other 2nd Division B-24 groups after it was disbanded. You'll find it very useful.
