Our Stearman driver wanted to know what time you would like him to arrive? Also what time will the pilot's briefing be?

Just 4 days away! I'm not sure yet if I'll be able to bring the L-5, or if I'll take another bird. It's looking like my schedule may only allow for me to take a Cub or Taylorcraft.

I think that they plan on having folks out there most of the day. I think lunchtime of course is probably going to be the peak attendance time. Are you local?

I am in Kingsville. KHDO is only 120 miles away. Wanted to fly up in the morning and then home when everything is done. Something was mentioned about flying starting around 10? Plan on being there around 9?

Melrod.....I am the airboss at Hondo. Yes come on up if you want. Gates open at 0900 but if you can come sooner or later OK. We have an opening flyover at 1000, but any other arrival is fine. Contact me on 122.725 and I will give you up dates and advisories. Plan on a fun time

Thanks Cuz, just needed to know what to tell everyone when I brief the sortie in the morning. I'll have a special guest in my plane...unless I can get her in the backseat of one of the T-6 types. TSgt Stevens, of the 340th Flying Training Group, will be getting a much deserved "Gee Whiz" ride. She has kept two Group Commanders going strong as their right-hand troop during my time as Honorary Commander of the 340 FTG. I thought it would be a good chance for me to do something for a hard working member of my Group!

Lynn, it's looking like the weather is going to blow over tonight. Now if we just don't get socked in come morning! We are taking a four-ship over to Boerne for a memorial fly-over, where we will pick up a fifth ship (Terry Adams), do a couple of passes at the ball field, then head on to Hondo for our "Arrival" there, as requested by Boss Cuz!
