This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

Info coming in through channels says that the Reunion will once again be at the NMUSAF for 2010. This will be the 70th reunion! I have heard that the Raiders are wanting to try for 25 aircraft again this time, since the total fell slightly short the last time. They are also going to try to get China involved (financially?), and are going to try to get as many surviving crew members as possible from the Hornet and her escort ships, and others who were in some way linked to the Mission.
So far the plans for up there are in line with the last time. I am going to make this one!

If it's true that this is happening again next year, I'll be there. I missed the last one and am still kicking myself for not going. It would be incredible to meet any of the Raiders and see that many B-25s in one place.

That would be a great event to be in attendance at.

The known details were broadcast last week on warbird radio:
http://www.warbirdradio.com/2011/05/big ... -thursday/They will try to get as many of the five surviving Raiders to attend that can, along with 25 B-25s, USS Hornet crew members, and the Chinese that helped the Raiders escape from the Japanese.
I went to the 2010 reunion in Dayton and it was "epic" as a fellow WIXer said. I plan to attend again as this one looks to be even more so.

This could be the granddaddy of them all! And given the age, number, and mobility issues, could very well be the last public Reunion. The 70th would be a nice, round number to end on.
I hope everyone, especially B-25 operators, will make their greatest effort to get the planes there. Almost a year away, so plenty of time to turn wrenches and raise funds.

Mike,
I agree .. based on a conversation I had last year, the thought was that their last one would be at NMUSAF. I, like others, am waiting for the official Museum notice as well as the date.
While I posted this last year, here's a pic of hats I did for the crew of the Pacific Princes who invited me on board their B-25 last year at the reunion.

This is truly going to be THE aviation event to attend in 2012. Warbird Radio will provide continuous coverage for the entire week long celebration...and the year the leading up to it. Our plan is to preserve as much of it as possible for future generations. This year there will be some professional fund-raising efforts made...but most of the money in 2010 came from small donations. In the coming weeks I'll post a link where we can all help out. I'd like to raise enough money to sponsor at least one B-25 (between WIX, Warbird Radio, RC Scale Builder & Warbird Rescue...I think we can do it.). Thoughts??

Cool cap Jerry! I had been thinking we needed nose art caps for the Yellow Rose. The plane on the cap just doesn't quite do it for me. Your Pacific Princess cap proves the concept for me!

I love the idea of sponsoring a B-25!

I would chip in for a fund to sponsor a B-25. Love the idea!
