By every measure of the definition, it absolutely is.

It doesn't feature warbirds that are restored back to their military configurations/paint schemes, nor warbirds that are doing exclusively airshows.

It most certainly features ex-military heavy iron that is still being used by a civilian airline to haul people and freight to some very austere locations under very interesting conditions.

Although it is a trumped-up reality show, it features some great footage of old heavy iron at work -- exactly the way they SHOULD be.

If you have the original Canadian copies of the show, don't they run @ 74% of U.S. speeds? (old joke about the value of a Yanqi Dahlla vs a Hudsons Bay Peso, AKA a Loonie)

More like 105% of the US speeds. :D

Yeah, I don't get that either. Getting to see old warbird transports perform in the role they were designed for is a pretty unique opportunity in this day and age.

In the second season, in one of the episode they made the trip to Oshkosh air venture and some WWII veterans were amazed to learn that 67 after they jumped of these planes, some "young" pilots continue to fly them everyday as a normal job ;-)
