Great pics!

What's the story on the B-24 and which museum is that? I've not seen that one before.

EDIT: found it... http://www.johnweeks.com/b24/b24hampton.html Not sure how I ever missed that one before!

Theres a lot of museum time in those pics, thanks a lot for sharing. Isn't WIX great? :)
Can you provide us a list of the museums in the order of the posted photo groups? or is it a mash-up? Virginia museums are high on my list to visit.

Well I can tell you that the first five posts, the P-26 in the sixth post, the La-9 in the fifteenth post, and the Corsair in the sixteenth post are all at the Military Aviation Museum in Virginia Beach. The only aircraft that you won't probably see to easily if you visit is the La-9 because that photo is the storage hanger which is not open to the public often.

Brother Tulio, so good of you to post so much!

Would you be kind enough to identify the third pic in your very first post? TIA!

The third photo in the first series is a TBM-3E painted to represent the aircraft flown by Lt. Zeke Cormier of Composite Squadron 1 (VC-1) off of the USS Card (CVE-11) in late '42 and early '43. Wildcat's and TBF's flew in hunter/killer pairs, and the nose art in the photo is the squadron patch which reflects the ASW mission of the USS Card while then Lt. Cormier was aboard.

Which Hawker biplane is that and is it original? I've never been able to tell the difference between them. Wasn't aware that MAM had one of those.

Your talking about this:

That's a Hawker Fury Mk1 replica. Honestly there a things that just show up here sometimes with out us knowing that the museum had it. :D

Guys, thank you for your comments, and also for those who have answered questions so far. Due to workload, I was unable to come back to this thread until now.

So, here it goes:

Military Aviation Museum, Virginia Beach:

DH Moth [Tiger, or other kind of Moth]
T-34
Disney Cartoon on a TBM
DH Dragon Rapide
Stearman
Chipmunk / Triplanes
JU-52 / CASA
VAL replica
WACO
Die Katzenjammer Kinder
Bucker
PT-22 / Spitfire and the ugliest refueling truck in the world
FLAK-88 / Generator / Searchlight
Hurricane
Hawker Fury (Replica)
La-9
Nate Mayo's built P-26 Peashooter replica
FG-1D

BTW, I asked for permission to visit the parts hangar, and it was graciously granted by a volunteer who was nearby. I took many pictures there, but will not publish them until I find out if the owner would be amenable. I well understand it, if they keep this place out of bounds for the visitors. This museum is nice, and it is growing, There were a minimum of Five hangars under construction, during my visit last month, and I was told that two of them are being built using WW-I era plans. I was also told that the owner of the place, Mr. Yeagen, is consolidating his collection that has been spread all over the Tidewaters area, to this neat location.

The NASM's Steven Udvar Hazy @ Dulles Airport:

The Lysander
The bipe with the number 4 [too lazy to look it up right now][Fighter Squadron 6, USMC San Diego CA]
Loon, US copy of a V-1
SA-2
F-105 et al
Japanese aircraft
The Do-335 - my favorite airplane of all times.
P-38
The F9C-2
The "Ugly Stearman" [N3-N]
He-219 Uhu
Grumman Gulfhawk
Boeing Stratocruiser

Airpower Park, Hampton, VA:

T-33
F-101 and Rockets
F-89 and Rocket
A-7

National Museum of the Marine Corps, Quantico, VA:

Pilot on the H-19 /whatever the USMC's designation is.
Harrier

Virginia Air & Space Center, Hampton, VA:
F-84
Kestrel / Harrier
F-106B
F-4
B-24D Nose

US Army Transportation Museum, Ft. Eustis, VA:
One-man helicopter [try to get off of that one, in an emergency!]
Cessna O-1 / L-19
Piasecki Airgeep VZ-8P
DOAK 16-VZ-4DA
Curtiss-Wright Air Car "GEM"
DHC Caribou (Almost sure it is a 'Bou)
CH-35 Mohave

Saludos,

Tulio

NOTE: I have removed the image of the La-9 to avoid any possible conflicts.

Is this the Skysport replica, built in the 80s which went to Belgium?
