The WIX snoops are really slipping...I've been waiting to see how long it would take for this news to hit the net but got the feeling it might be long time a this rate! I guess your radars must still be iced up after the long winter  On Tuesday a certain Mustang made its first flight in 48 years...any guesses which one? A clue would be, it's the real one not the imposter using the namesake...I guess that makes it pretty easy, huh?

I think we've been too busy eating each other to notice such things. I hope the weather breaks so we can be better informed.

The Donner Party re-enacting is getting really old.

Is it the real, actual, authentic "Old Crow?"

I don't know much about which Mustangs are the real one they say they are, and which are imposters, but I think I remember there being a fair number of Old Crows out there.

That being said, I think a large number of P-51's still around are ex-RCAF and never saw WWII combat.

I'm interested to hear about this new Stang that you speak of.

Peace,

David M

Fagen Fighter's P-51D "Twilight Tear" completed test flights this past week in Wahpeton, ND, and according to Warbird Digest's Facebook page, it is now at its home in Granite Falls, MN. The major restoration/rebuild took place at Tri-State Aviation, Wahpeton, ND, with the wings and several other component assemblies rebuilt at Odegaard Wings, Inc.

According to Warbird Digest's Facebook page, the nose art will be painted this summer while the aircraft is on display at Oshkosh!

Oh, and yeah, I guess there is a number of folks who had been waiting for someone else to post this news (I have Warbirdnerd to thank for cluing me into this). :)

John T,
Thanx for filling in the blank spaces-few things can be more aggravating than a post from someone that could have been what Admiral King might have said to sum up WW2..............'we won'.

Speaking of Facebook, has anyone else here been on the page for Pacific Fighters in Idaho? Another mighty fine 'razorback' (ha ha!) Mustang taking shape there!

Wheres the page? All I get is some video game when searching for "Pacific Fighters".

As far as Facebook killing forums like WIX that is another great topic for another thread. I really see pros and cons to both when it comes to both.

Tim

Don't know about the rest of you, but I've been warned by my computer guru to stay off sites like Facebook and Twitter as they are prime spots to get "hacked".

Mudge the cautious :hide:

I started having computer problems within a week of joining Facebook. After cleaning the infestation off of my computer, I stopped doing "surveys" and "games" and have not had a problem since. Just don't sign up for anything and you should be OK.
