P-47D photograph taken at MoTaT, Auckland, NZ in 1964. Aircraft "may" be in Australia now undergoing restoration. Anyone have current info?

I would think that the Flying Heritage Collection's P-47D, restored by Westpac Restorations, would have to have it, in order to pass the museum's scrutiny for being completely original/functioning in all regards to when it was originally manufactured. I've also read that Westpac's P-47D N47DF has/or is being re-restored, with plans to make it even more original, complete with a functioning turbo supercharger. From the source I got the information from, it was hard to tell whether that was very recent or old news.

A way cool thread w/ great photos. Can someone list all the flying T-Bolts including the ones soon to fly like the Fighter Collection's Little Demon? I guess I have lost track of just where all the the flying examples are these days.

I would be most-interested in any details on a Wisconsin-based P-47. The only airframe I've heard of in cheeseland was when Dick Wixom stored the pieces of 44-49406 (now Tallahassee Lassie) in Janesville back in the early 90's.

Just south of the border would be the burned-out P-47B Randy Ferris kept in the Marengo, IL area. Anyone have details on those remains lately (as I've lost contact with Randy over the years)?
