From this early attack machines I still mo' prefer Curtiss Shrike, definitely milestone in the development of that kind of aviation.

Italian planes are like Italian cars. my day job is working on and Restoring Ferrari's ,Lambo's , Masseratis. Alfas. etc etc.
They were/are high tech.Aluminium engines,6 weber carbs, alloy bodies. But very high strung, maintenance intensive, great when they run right, but dont run right often . pretty to look at. great technology to stand back and admire with your friends while drinking a martini in your garage in your multi-million dollar house, but wouldnt wanna depend upon it when your butt is on the line.Ferrari race cars were world beaters but some were/are real fragile toys. Give me a P-47 and I feel my butt will be ok.
