I really like C-FFUZ the Black & White Mustang.
Brings back a lot of memories of the real Airshow days.

Anyone with more picture of this bird - please post em!

Todd,
They are out there. I dont have mine, dad has them. But now and again they show up. I swear that gary went everywhere in that airplane. I wonder what his TT was when he sold it.

"Double Trouble Two" (N51EA) in the pic was then owned by the former mayor of Nashua, NH; Don Davidson. He sold it off in the early 1990's to the Swiss and in 2003 it returned back to the states with it's new and current owner, Jerry Yagen.

I've got some shots of Gary McCann's 51 from some of its many visits to Mt.Hope; also have a few of Dennis Bradley's "Old Boy" from the period ca.1985-90 when it was based at CWH. And I have two or three--all too few--of the other C-FBAU, the one wearing 424 RCAF Sqn markings (and also in its previous generic USAAF scheme). None of those is digitized though. Maybe sometime.

I remember working at CWH in the mid-80s, especially one spell when C-FFUZ spent the entire season in Hgr#4...I'd go across the hangar to turn the lights off in the evening, always enjoyed walking by the slick black Mustang and watching all those overhead lamps play off the shiny surfaces as though the 51 were a huge classic car...Thanks for posting the pix, they bring back some really nice memories from a quarter century ago.

S.

I like the individuality of the 60's paint schemes. I was just a little boy seeing the fighters for the first time then and I still prefer it to the endless tribute schemes.
