This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

Actually, Hot Stuff is a PV-2, not a PV-2C.
The PV-2C's were early-production models, plagued with fuel cell leaks. That production block was relegated to duties as training aircraft and redesignated PV-2C's.
Hot Stuff, like all of the planes assigned to Fleet Air Wing Four squadrons, was a PV-2--a combat-ready airplane, not a trainer.

Re-reading my last, it sounds a bit brusque--sorry for that, Tom.
Only meant for clarification, not to be argumentative.
It will sure be swell if two PV's can be up there at the show! When's the last time anyone's seen _that_, I wonder?

Not a problem. When your right - your right!
I stand corrected on the designation of your aircraft - it's a PV-2 Harpoon.
Cheers,
Tom Walsh.

Or Bearcats?

I think it would be cool since the Friedkin Family Hellcat is now in navy markings to see the demo with the Hellcat, Bearcat, Corsair...
Whatever they fly is an awesome sight !!!

Hey Mike,
Nice addition.
Their Zeke (Zero) is actually an A6M2 Model 21 built by Nakajima.
Cheers,
Tom Walsh.

Hi Todd:
Nice Catch.
I was not aware the CAF had sold one Zeke and acquired another.
The second one is a better looking aircraft!
Cheers,
Tom Walsh.

Very Nice Addition! Bring in the whole Tora team and start the show with them coming in from behind the crowd low, fast and scaring the hell out of everyone!

Can't wait to see what is added over the next several months. Hoping to get some extra cash soon to send in for my photo tour / pit soon also!

Great News, Michael - that makes FOUR Corsairs in the planned aircraft lineup - a MINI Corsair gathering! I hope there will be a possibility of at least of loose 4-ship Corsair formation during the show.
Now if only the Cavanaugh Flight Museum would put their beautuful F9F-2B Panther back in the air for 2011.......

Nice addition! It would be cool if the Cavanaugh Corsair could bring some friends from the museum along with it... Skyraider or Wildcat maybe?
