Was talking to local aerobatic pilot today. Steve Johnson about the early model Pitts biplanes including the first two or three in the state of Tennessee back in the 1960's. This sparked a memory about another Pitts S-1 that was restored in the 1980's by a lady named Betty Gray, and painted purple. It had come back into the country after serving in a foreign military in South America.
Does anyone know which country had an aerobatic flight or training wing that used Pitts biplanes for training?

The Royal Jordanian Falcons were a sorta military operator of the Pitts.

The Chilean Air Force team "Los Halcones" was also an operator of the Pitts. They now use Extra 300s.

Aside the Chilean Aerobatic Team, the Venezuela AF also had a team called Los Halcones using Pitts. In both cases, these were aerobatic teams, not dedicated training aircraft.
