I went down to Col Springs, just for the day today Sunday. I was sort of expecting a big airshow, but it wasn't lke that. It was smaller and more low key and friendly. I didn't encounter onw case of cops or future Vopos hassleing me or the rest of the public; folks seemed to be in a good mood and enjoying themselves, and not so full of themselves as some shows. As for warbirds, not too much of the vintage stuff. I saw Jack Cronin's nice T-6, and two others and they did fly. Nothing of any P-47s or a B-25. I didn't see them on static nor did they fly in the time I was there, about 10 am until 2 pm. On static was a Harpoon and the CAF TBM. Didn't see any Mustangs or Furys, static or otherwise. There were 2 F-4s, seemed to be both miilitary and one flew a nice show along with an A-10. There was also a parachute drop which was a good act, from the A F Academy guys. I talked to some of the jumpers after they landed. They were nice guys, very friendly and poilite to the public. One even let a small boy perhaps 7 years old help him repack his chute. The boy was fascinated.
