This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

I admit it... I was entertained. He's no Eminem, but I won't bag on somebody willing to take a new path to honor our vets and bring the awesomeness of Warbirds to a whole new audience.

Good on ya, Granger.

I knew there was a reason I liked you Rick....

Does this mean I get a free flight in the F-4 if I can fit in the seat?
JUST KIDDING!

Are you going to make Alliance this year?
Fri Sep 10, 2010 5:21 pm
Nope no Alliance. We have other pending commitments after we finish some A-4 upgrades and the F-4 100 hr.

Since most of you haven't met Jack Cook in person, I'm sure you were all surpised that he had taken time out of his busy schedule to showcase his musical talents for you as well.

My 10 year old son loves it.
He wants a B-17 song now, too.

I'll take it! You even changed your signature! That's amazing!
We're considering attempting a spoof featuring the B−25. Watch for it, it's gonna be insaaaaaane.

Wow, that is freakin' hilarious!

Even my wife got a kick out of it.
So he basically did a lousey job of covering "I'm on a Boat" and substituted B-24 for Boat. Wow.

The B-17 is an airplane
Constructed of rivets and tin
With a top speed of over a hundred
The plane with the headwind built in
(Can't remember the rest; it was in a
Stalag Luft book I used to have - think it's a version of a song about the B-26)

All right, you guys owe me just over three minutes of my life back. Geezzzz, you are killing me.
Sat Sep 11, 2010 10:54 pm
Thats 3 minutes I'll never get back...
Sun Sep 12, 2010 5:44 pm
Interesting. I'm sure it isn't everyone's thing, but it gets the B-24 out there to people who haven't heard much of WW2 history.
I can't see it being played at airshows or as a background on DVDs, but it'd certainly make a change from "In the mood" and "Take the A train", which have been done to death.
Cheers,
Matt
