....was watching NCIS Los Angeles when they went poking through some guys garage....all kinds of those wood sculpture planes on a table...then behind them I saw a print of Phil Makanna's cover shot from his first book, of Bill Arnot's B-25, smoke on, coming towards the camera ship (Silver Lady), but it was not the book....a print of Howard Pardue's F8F in a frame....another print in a frame of 'Miss Josephine' the P-40 Warhawk....of course the framed photo over on the CAR wall of a P-38 (looked like a wartime print to me) was the giveaway for where the bad guy kept the loot...anyone else catch it or notice anything I did'nt?

Mark

I'm surprised someone even watches that show and others like it, I find them very dull. YAWN

I'll have to watch it, Phil used my SNJ as a camera ship for Silver Lady out of Stead field in 1984. I wish I could remember the pilots name Stoney something  :)

My wife was watching "bachelor pad" ( :Hangman: ) and a couple went on a flying date and in the background of thier dinner was a beautiful A26 Invader. I think the show is filmed in California, but not sure. Nice to see warbirds in unlikely shows.

If you've ever seen TNT's show "The Closer" there is a LAPD Commander whom has warbird models and photos hanging in his office. Seems like I've seen some warbird stuff in someone elses office on another show as well, not NCIS.

Actually that was Makanna's second Ghosts book. I mention this not to be picayune, but because his first (1979) book, with the CAF Bearcat on the front, was in many ways his best, and if you haven't seen it, I recommend getting yourself a copy.
