Try these guys if you can't be fagged with the rapidshare plans. Apparently they're re-mastering from NAA microfilm. What I gather from other forums is that they will digitise your microfilm for free.

Also they're giving away some samples when you sign up on their link thing in their ad listing. I got and F4U Corsair general arrangement (a vought one) and a Messerschmitt 109 G Plan. Both have got to be seen to be believed as far as quality goes.

Did you say they will digitize microfilm for free? Is this just for the P-51 or other aircraft as well? This would be manna from heaven for my project.

Could you please provide some links to these other forums where their work is discussed?

I would say that "Flug-Archiv 20" would be digitizing your microfilm for free on the condition that they could sell copies. If you are happy with that, it could be a win-win situation. Having said that, I can vouch for the quality of their Mustang, Spitfire, Kittyhawk and Me109 drawing scans.

I'll have to dig backwards to find what forums I've been to but in the mean time, you could go to their web-site and use the e-mail link to talk to them. Yup, digitising your microfilm for free is a solution to a big $ problem. I did some P-47 Thunderbolt stuff myself a few years ago and I got what I needed but it took a lot of hours out of my day (selected frames only). In the end I went down to our local one hour photo place and they quoted $ 5-6 K for the job So there you go the choice is pay big bucks, or break your back on your home scanner or alternatively send your microfilm to these guys and get digital back for free...

Looks like I'm maybe wasting my time posting these free plans and manuals here, and my money on a Rapidshare account.

To top it off, this thread gets hijacked, and my honest efforts get ridiculed.
(Most people don't have original microfilm-BTW). These free files are for us ordinary folks.
I really don't mean to 'fag' or tire anyone by their downloading of all of these free files that I PAY to keep uploaded, either. So-if you don't own any original microfilm, please feel free to visit the ebay store and BUY all of the plans that you like. Or you can have these for FREE.

I see this link has not been updated in quite some time. I was able to find the pilots manual in PDF format. Ouch! Still looking for D plans. My intention is to numerically model with high detail to original. There are quite a few but mostly poor renditions.

Any help appreciated. I tried the link herein and to no luck many times. Looks like they have been removed.
