Hi Guys,

A long time away and glad to be back. I have had this little bird on my shoulder for quite some time whispering in my ear the question of how many "Jug's" are airworthy and flown/flyable in the US and UK. Heck..... I'll even expand my question to include those that are being restored TO airworthy status. I've been out of touch with this forum and my interests for so long I just have had a complete brain drain. As for myself, I love to see the -47's and they are my favorite. So please... gentlemen, and ladies if present.....enlighten me.

I find Warbird Alley's figures a good basic yardstick, but usually out of date and only roughly about right.

AFAIK, since the return of the TFC P-47 'No Guts no Glory', I don't think there are any P-47s airworthy outside of the USA. There's another one under restoration to fly with TFC (the ex-'Little Demon') and another under restoration to fly with HARS in NSW, Australia.

James, Rob Greinert has three Razorbacks. Two under active restoration and one used as a pattern aircraft, which will probably join the queue later.

When is the last time the P-47 at the Palm Springs Air Museum was airborne?
