I am about an hour south of Charlotte off I85 and they have been coming from the north so it must be them.

Yankee Warrior and a Stearman. Plus an F4U-5 run-up and a T-6 and L-5 in a hangar.

Last weekend I saw a guess you would call it an F-15. What else would you call a Tigercat and Bearcat in close formation? For all of you on the wrong coast..........F-8+F-7=F-15.

I saw a Douglas A-26 landing at KAFW two afternoons in a row around 1330. It's name is "Hard To Get" with an orange stripe on the tail with the number 58 on the stripe. Here's a link

Was a busy day in Hamilton, Ontario today....saw the Stearman up early, the Chipmunk, the B-25 and the Firefly did at least 2 hops today.
Later in the afternoon, Vintage Wings of Canada's beautiful P-40 arrived for the CWH's Flyfest that is on this weekend.
Not a full blown airshow as such, but one of the few opportunities to see a lot of the airworthy CWH aircraft fly for the public all on the same day.
A C-47 from Geneseo is expected as well as an L-29and a Yak-52 from the neighbouring Brantford Airport as well.
Full flying details can be found at http://www.warplane.com/pages/Flyfest2010.html

That beauty belongs to Cavanaugh Flight Museum. They acquired it in 2008. Nice!

Collings Corsair went over my head in North Canton while sitting by the pool this evening. Is it camping at MAPS?

I was lucky enough to have a front row view of;

B-25 Lady Luck

P-38 Ruff Stuff
P-40 Aleutian Tiger
P-40 Desert Hawk (didn’t fly)
P-51D Sweet Revenge
P-51C Tuskegee Red Tail
P-51D Big Beautiful Doll
P-51D Barbara Jean

T-6 X 5
BT-13
PT-19
PT-17 X 5

Grumman Albatross

MX-2
Extra 300

And a bunch of GA aircraft.

If anyone was there taking pics, I'd love to see some. I was too busy to take any.

My employer is opening a new dealership in Sealy, Tex. and every workday for the past week I've seen, but more importantly gotten to listen to- a Grumman Ag-Cat duster with a real loud radial. I love it. Especially since I'm missing a biplane fly in this week.
Monday, June 21, three big ugly Sikorskis growled past, flying low and in close formation past the same workplace. I think the were MH-53E's like the one Lone Star Naval reservist Andy Barerra works on.
Any Houston WIXers get a gander at these guys? Mid day I think.

blue skies
