I went to TOM a few years ago when they had both airworhty Liberators and 4 Fortresses. It was a great show, but I was really disappointed that they didn't get the heavies into a formation. There wasn't a real oppertunity to get both Liberators in the air in the same shot. (Maybe my expectations were set too high by this
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EfMWxR1B-Nw). I'm really hoping that this year, they will make an effort to form up the heavies.

Assuming, of course, that all the pilots are formation certified.

Hmmm,
What an undertaking it must be to get them together, nevermind finding crews.
The last time around, I was amazed to see the formation work these guys did together, considering.
They very rarely get to work together, at the most its two or three at a normal show.
A couple of these airplanes have been out of service for a while, others have changed owners.
Imagine if there was a "Heavy" formation clinic, how cool, but rediculously expensive that could be.
As i stated earlier in the chatter about this event, it would be nice to see a little practice going on on Thurs/Fri, but just looking around the airport and seeing a Fortress sillouette in every direction gives me a chill, the missing man made me...
I gotta get my flights booked, the prices are not getting any lower.

Next biggie question. Some of us on this forum will be crewing aircraft or working the show. Many more will be spectating. Anybody have any suggestions for a spot for WIXers to meet? What about starting a thread listing who will be where?
Doug .
Agreed, Doug.., time for us to all finally meet in person would be fantastic!
