I just back from 12 days in Florida good fishing, shooting and food!
I fortunate to spend some time in Tampa with Kirsten aka Beachy and
we went over to Polk City to see Fantasy of Flight. It's a cool place but
is not a museum but rather a attraction so don't be disappointed if you go
and are expecting the former. It's very nicely done and they had a Tuskeegee
program and a Bentley/Rolls Royce drive in that Saturday. We were fortunate to
meet and visit with Roscoe Brown for a couple minutes. He's a cool dude!!

Thanks for the pictures Jack! Did you get any pictures or information regarding any of the current restorations or about plans for the future?

Nice pictures Jack!
I have driven by there several times but never had the time to stop in.
Am heading down in December, but wife has indicated this is a "FAMILY" vacation without my museum sidetracks! I can see the car breaking down about there on a day trip if i plan it right!

According to the latest FoF newsletter, one of their current projects is they are working on a pair of DH-4 Bombers and several Liberty engines are being rebuilt to fit. One will get Air Corps scheme, one will get US Mail colors.

The B-24 was in the maintence hanger and the TBM was stripped and looked ready for paint.

Great photos. Was just wondering about the Spitfire this morning.

What's the nose section beneath the B-25 wing? Looks vaguely Russian to me..... :?:

Great pics Jack! 8)

Were you not allowed into the maintenance hangar? (so no B-24 photos?)

I saw a few captions, but they are easy to miss.

They had scheduled tours over there but it was a 2 hour wait for the next one.

Thanks for the photo tour Jack. Does anyone know if any work is being done to Kermit's P-38 or to his Hellcat?
