Hi,

I'm looking for information about Lightning use during WW2 in ETO, pics, profile, serial...
Also, looking for cockpit manuals to have disposition of the panels.

Here's some F-5 info for you that I've collected over the years. My good friend was an F-5 pilot- 30th PRS-9th AF. And here's the link to my P-38 F-5 files on RapidShare.

http://rapidshare.com/files/349132218/P-38_F-5.zip

Do you have any more F-5 info or nose art that you can share? I am still looking for any F-5 info for a memorial to my old friend.
I hope my materials are helpful for you...good luck!

Sky Queen was my photo. Here's info for her.

Still looking for Super Snooper info. I know she was modified for "Dicing" missions.

Here are a couple of pics of 'Super Snooper'- #303. It was in my friend's PRS.

He also flew 'Sharkmouth' F-5E 43-28307 from the 33rd PRS; he eventually crash-landed it in Eschwege, Germany in July, 1945.

I have that book but have not read it. It says Super Snooper was with the 30th PRS. It has a cropped version of that photo and a diagram of the camera layout for the dicing camera's.

Mike

You are correct-Super Snooper was with the 30th PRS-the same unit that my friend flew with.

I'm looking now for pics of the cockpit of the F-5 E2 or F-5 E4 Lightning and pics of the camera bay.

Thanks

I'll look for you-as soon as we recover the WWII aircraft data from my 1Tb external hard drive.
It crashed on a Microsoft automatic on-line update---now my machine won't recognize the drive.
(Got an IT guy coming over this AM...)
Beware of those damned updates!
